Real Bride: A Gown Worth Holding Out For
From a discouraging dress search to a custom gown with long sleeves, full lining and a dream train, this bride found her perfect fit at More 2 Love Bridal.
With an engagement and wedding happening within the same year, our bride had a lot to look forward to and a short window to plan it all. But by August 2024, Dania was still searching for her wedding dress and beginning to lose hope.
Her wish list was clear: a gown she loved that was mid-size and plus-size friendly, modest, and ready within four months. Finding all three was proving difficult. Appointment after appointment left her disappointed, with samples that were too small to give her a true sense of how the dresses could look and feel.
“I didn’t want to settle, I just wanted a dress I loved.”
One More Appointment
After another particularly upsetting boutique experience, she called More 2 Love Bridal on a Friday afternoon. A last-minute cancellation meant we could welcome her that Sunday.
She booked, but her expectations were low. After so many disappointments, it was hard to imagine this appointment ending differently.
When she arrived and didn’t see any long-sleeved gowns, she felt discouraged again. Her stylist, Spencer, encouraged her to try a few dresses and explore what might be possible through modifications.
That invitation opened up a whole new set of possibilities.
Room to Fall in Love
For the first time in her search, she loved most of the dresses she tried on. Having samples that fit gave her the chance to appreciate each gown and discover what she felt good wearing.
Just as meaningful was the way Spencer made her feel throughout the appointment: confident, stylish and supported.
“I truly felt she cared about how I looked and felt on my wedding day.”
After trying on around half a dozen gowns, she found one she loved. It didn’t yet offer the coverage she wanted, but Spencer and our team reached out to the designer to discuss the options.
Together, we explored customizations that could be completed by the designer, along with a rush timeline to have the gown ready for her wedding.
The Details That Made It Hers
Her chosen gown a Lis Simon was fully customized with full lining and long sleeves, bringing her vision for a modest wedding dress to life. She also added the beautiful long train she had always dreamed of.
Within six to eight weeks, approximately a month before her wedding, she returned to the boutique to try it on.
The gown fit perfectly. The sleeves, the lining, the train: everything she had hoped for was there.
“I was so happy and felt my very best.”
A Beautiful Beginning
For her wedding on December 1, 2024 at River’s Edge, she had a gown she loved and felt wonderful wearing. What began as one more appointment booked with little hope became a chance to create something deeply personal.
We’re so happy Spencer and our team could help her bring that vision to life. Her words say it best:
“I didn’t think it would be possible to get a beautiful modest dress that fit perfectly!!”
And our favourite part?
